Rough room Layout // A place called HERE

A project I have been working on for a while now. A Place called HERE. It's a wonderful story written by Cecelia Ahern.

This is a rough layout for Sandy's room. A girl who is obsessed with finding missing things. I wanted her room to be organized yet every inch on the wall and the ceiling to be occupied with her research. I am still working on ways to exaggerate her obsession with finding things that go missing.

What do you all think?

Fun way to eat Noodles! Part 2

This Illustration started a while ago. Like I said before, the idea struck when My husband I were having dinner. Yes, we do these kind of things.

I started with a simple sketch.

I started the color process. Basic colors first.

Added some details

Some more details and background. AND Done!

Some details

When I started, I had a different color scheme in mind. I had a green background. But, that somehow did not seem right for this piece.

Well, I am glad I changed it.

This print is going to be available at APE CON 2015! And it is printed on a beautiful Satin Luster paper with Archival Canon Lucia Inks! It's going to be awesome!

Birthday Cards!

I made these hand stamped, hand lettered Birthday Cupcake Cards! These are based off of my designs I posted earlier.

They were so much fun to make. After experimenting with various inks, going through numerous tutorials and tons of work I finally got them right!

I packed them in a clear sleeve and tied a twine around it.

I debated between writing Happy Birthday and printing it prior to stamping. I finally decided to go with hand written cards. More personalized and the result? Completely HANDMADE!

These were completely SOLD OUT at the SF ETSY IE POPUP show I was a part of last month! These are now available for purchase on my ETSY store!

Aren't these adorable? What do you all think?

Mini Paintings

I painted these mini painting based on my Bird Designs I did earlier. I wanted to have something special I could debut at the #SF ETSY pop up show. For those of you who are curious, it well extremely well. You can read about it HERE

This was my 1st craft show and a big learning experience. I am working on writing about that. The post will be out soon.

Now on to my mini paintings. These were super fun to do! It was wonderful to get back to painting traditionally after so much of digital work I have been doing lately.

These are painted on Gallery wrapped canvas. I did some color studies for these painting prior to the final painting.

I added these hinges I got from Home Depot. Easy peasy.

These are painted on mini wood panels. I got them from Michael's Art and Craft Store. I sanded them 1st. They had some rough edges. Then I coated them with Acrylic Gesso and sanded them again. I repeated the process a couple of times to make sure the surface for ready for painting.

I added these little hooks I got from Home Depot. They are super easy to use and are perfect for these light weight wooden panels.

They are small, cute and perfect for decorating any small space! And the best part? Because of the decorated borders, no need for framing! :D

These are available for purchase on my ETSY store!
